What Makes Us So Special?
Throughout my entire life, I’ve had this obsession with ‘being special’ and ‘not being special’. You can see it in my lyrics, you can see it in my musings and you can even see it in my art. You will even see it in my new music from time to time.
The truth is that we’re actually all special though you may not realise it, you may not even realise it tomorrow or next week, but at some point in your life, there will come a time when you finally realise that the rest of the world isn’t ‘more special’ than you are and that you aren’t a voiceless nobody. I’m only just beginning to realise that this is actually the reality we live in. We all have our place in life, it’s just a case of finding it. Though you may be good at something, that doesn’t mean you may necessarily be happy doing it. We are conditioned to feel insignificant and small by the media who pressure us into feeling a certain way and buying certain products that make us seem ‘trendy’ or ‘attractive’ when in actual fact, mankind survived for millions of years before the voice in the corner of the room started giving you instructions.
We don’t need to worship people that don’t acknowledge your existence. You don’t even need to worship another human being or an entity with no evidence to support the existence of it. Live for the now and die happy without fear of what comes next, because chances are that there isn’t anything else than this.
You don’t need celebrities or idols. If this is the apex of our existence then we have made a huge error by pushing buffoons into the spotlight. I believe we are capable of so much more and that the people you see on your television are not the special individuals, but are merely puppets created to separate you from your money. Think of all the wasted man hours lost through the medium of television or taking an interest in a celebrity who you will never date. What makes you think they will whisk you away when they won’t even acknowledge your existence because they are so caught up in their own affairs? We could have found the cures to countless diseases and made a near infinite number of discoveries in these millions of wasted hours every day.
Instead of asking yourself why you are not special, start asking yourself why you are special.
Walk the walk and you will soon be running it and eventually going off of the metaphorical beaten track to lead the way for the rest of humanity. A lot of people will try to trip you up on your marathon to your goals, but with a little planning, you can avoid them completely.
Realise that you are being brainwashed to take interest in people that you don’t know and people who do not care about you. Realise that this is all a distraction so you don’t notice the bigger picture with who is in charge and what is going to affect your children as well as the children of your children.
Don’t act tomorrow, act today. Tomorrow may be the day when everything changes completely and you can’t give your children the future that they deserve. You could find a cure to a disease or a new fuel, perhaps you could even help somebody who already has yet doesn’t have the means to publicise it?
So what if you have not got a boyfriend or girlfriend on February 14th? Count yourself lucky that you’re not being drawn into the capitalist regime. Love is selfish and love isn’t between a man or a woman or between two men and two women.
Love is about interest, care and affection between a group of people that we call a ‘family’. A family isn’t about genetics, nor is it about wealth. A family is a group of people who care for one another through the good and bad, yet also care for each other unconditionally without any preconceptions. A family is a group of people who love each other and that group of people are special to have one another. Life isn’t about seeking out a mate with which to further your genetic code, nor is it about accruing as much wealth and as many possessions as possible. Life is about being happy and acknowledging that you are a powerful being even by yourself.
You have a voice that other people will take notice of and that other people will support if they agree with what you are saying. If you don’t like something, don’t carry on being anonymous, put a name to your opinion and views and others will follow. The same applies to cowards who create websites aimed to upset and cause fury in that of others yet don’t put a name to it as they are cowards.
Celebritatem. The Latin word for the condition of being ‘famous’. You are all celebritatem to me. I recognise you all and know the majority of you on a first name basis and realise this: I love you all. You don’t need another human being to satisfy your needs because you have all of these capabilities for yourself and as we enter into a post-human society within which it is possible to live life without the need for physical intimacy. You all have your talents and you all have your weaknesses, yet in ‘families’, the weaknesses mean nothing. We’re curing disease and finding solutions to problems every day and you can be a part of it if you pull yourself away from the idiot box and the propaganda it warbles throughout the day and night.
Ale and wenches.
